Prepare across workstreams

Expose gaps before they become delays

International sourcing connects product decisions with border, transport, documentation, tax, and contract questions. Use this CSV to assign owners, record assumptions, and identify where expert advice or local confirmation is needed.

01

Define the transaction

Confirm the product, origin, destination, quantity, value basis, contracting parties, and intended use. Small differences can change documentary, regulatory, or commercial requirements.

02

Allocate responsibilities

State who arranges each stage, provides each document, bears each cost, and manages exceptions. Use a specifically named Incoterms rule and version where suitable.

03

Plan evidence and timing

Work backward from the required date and include production, inspection, document preparation, transport, border processes, contingencies, and internal approvals.

Discover across markets

Use structured listings to begin the search

NextPartner supports WTS and WTB listings for international product opportunities. Automated processing and categorization, search, filters, matching, and saved searches support discovery. The timeline and private notes organize activity and context; trade execution and checks remain with the parties and advisers.

  1. Classify carefullyConfirm product description, composition, origin, and proposed classification with appropriate expertise rather than copying an unrelated shipment code.
  2. Check both marketsReview export, import, product, labeling, sanctions, licensing, tax, and recordkeeping requirements for the actual parties and route.
  3. Align documentsEnsure names, addresses, quantities, values, product descriptions, terms, and dates are consistent across commercial and transport records.
  4. Model landed costInclude product, packaging, inspection, transport, insurance decisions, duties, taxes, handling, banking costs, and a defined contingency.
  5. Prepare exceptionsAssign contacts and response steps for delays, damage, shortages, document errors, quality disputes, or a regulatory hold.
